3M Aura™ Particulate Respirator 9205+, N95 – High Performance Flat-Fold Respirator
The 3M Aura™ 9205+ is an ultra-lightweight, flat-fold N95 respirator delivering ≥ 95 % filtration of non-oil particulates at 85 L/min. Patented three-panel design collapses to 5 mm for compact storage then springs open to seal diverse facial contours. Sculpted nose and embossed top panels boost eyewear clearance and channel exhaled air away from lenses to reduce fogging. Available in boxes of 20 units.
- Three-panel flat-fold: Collapses to 5 mm then springs open for a snug seal
- Sculpted nose panel: Adds 12 mm eyewear clearance with smooth inner liner
- Embossed top panel: Deflects exhalation upward - reducing fog by up to 65 %
- Innovative chin tab: +15 % faster donning, 20 % fewer fit errors in trials
- Soft polyurethane foam: Conforms to nasal pressure points for 8+ hours of comfort
- Dual braided headbands: Non-latex polyisoprene, staple-attached for consistent tension
- Adjustable aluminum clip: Molds to any bridge shape, locks for leak-free seal
- Advanced electrostatic media: Multi-layer polypropylene captures ≥ 95 % of 0.3 µm particles at ≤ 343 Pa inhalation

Materials & Construction
- Outer/inner layers: spunbond polypropylene
- Core filter: electrostatically charged meltblown polypropylene
- Headbands: braided polyisoprene (non-latex)
- Nose foam: polyurethane
- Clip/staples: aluminum/steel
Filtration Performance & Testing
• NIOSH 42 CFR 84 certified: < 5 % penetration at 0.3 µm, 85 L/min
• Maintains ≥ 95 % efficiency through 200 mg salt aerosol loading
• Proprietary media balances low breathing resistance with high capture
Fit Testing & Usage
- Clean hands. Cup respirator under chin, nose clip up.
- Pull headbands over head, upper band at crown, lower at neck.
- Mold nose clip evenly around nose bridge with both hands.
- Perform Positive seal check: Exhale sharply, feel for leaks.
Perform Negative seal check: Inhale sharply, mask should collapse.
Regulatory & Certifications
- NIOSH-approved N95 (TC-84A-7526)
- OSHA 1910.134 compliant (training, fit test, medical eval)
